Morningside Lights is a weeklong arts event, culminating in an illuminated procession of public art in Morningside Park. Join us for a week of workshops, and help build a fleet of giant papier-mâché lanterns and hand-made instruments in a free event led by the directors of Processional Arts Workshop.
This year’s theme shares in a Columbia University-wide celebration of Harlem artist Romare Bearden and his 1977 collage series A Black Odyssey, inspired by Homer’s timeless epic.
