One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting and giving gifts. As a college student, I know that sometimes it can be financially hard to purchase gifts for all of your friends and family. A great way to make sure that everyone on your list gets a gift is to be creative. Here are some great gift ideas that are college student affordable and unique!
The first one is to make a decorated picture frame filled with memories, quotes, stickers, etc. This is a great gift because all you have to do is buy the frame and then you can put whatever you like in it. Something that has worked for me is to buy one of the bigger frames with a solid color border that I can decorate and draw on. I always print several pictures and arrange them in a collage style along with decorative stickers, meaningful quotes, and some sort of brightly colored background. This would be a unique gift to give because not only is it personalized, but something that the person can have forever.
Another great gift that you can DIY is a coupon book. You can decorate it and include whatever you like and it can be personalized for the person you are giving it to. Coupons can range from things to, “One Home Cooked Meal,” or maybe even “One Study Buddy Date,” the possibilities are endless and you can customize it for whoever you are giving it to! This is a fun and different gift at almost no cost to you!
The final homemade gift that would make a great Christmas present is baked goods in a cute mason jar that you can decorate and personalize for the person you are giving it to. With baked goods, you can bake in batches which enable you to give more gifts. This is also a great gifts for coworkers, professors, or even your TA. It’s a good way to give a gift without having to put a dent in your pocket.
