Queens University of Charlotte is a private, master’s level university located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, just minutes from Uptown. We serve undergraduate and graduate students in academic programs across the liberal arts and sciences as well as the professional fields of business, communication, nursing, health, and education. Our degree programs are grounded in a liberal arts core to help students hone their critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. We offer 41 majors, 61 minors, and several certificate programs. Because of our flexibility, our students pursue multiple areas of study, participate in collaborative research, and study abroad. We are recognized as one of the top 20 schools in the US for students studying abroad. Our students are high achieving, driven, and passionate about learning and exploring beyond the classroom. 100 percent of our students participate in one or more internships, which means that all of our students have the knowledge and the experience to compete in a global economy. Our motto is “not to be served, but to serve.” We believe in this motto because it defines us as global citizens. In fact, 90% of our students engage in service during their time at Queens.

Highlights
Students will automatically be considered for merit scholarships when they apply. We continue to add new scholarships every year to acknowledge students and their hard work. In 2015 we expanded our scholarship offerings to include AP Capstone and International Baccalaureate (IB) scholarships. The goal of these new scholarships is to recognize students for their willingness to take the difficult road to graduation – rather than focusing on a test score or GPA. It is their intrinsic drive to push the envelope and challenge themselves in high school that make these students stand out – the same way our students do at Queens.
