Places I Want to Visit in the USA

Even though I was born in America, I have lived in Washington State my entire life. There are still many places that I wish to visit within the US. Here is my top five list of places in the United States that I wish to visit!

1. Orlando, Florida.
Not only do I want to go because of the amazing weather and gorgeous beaches, but I want to go to Disney World, the place where dreams come true. Growing up and watching all of the Disney movies and cartoons has made me a true fan of Disney. I want to go to Disney World and experience the roller coasters, the themed restaurants, and feel the happiness that emanates from it. They recently opened a new Harry Potter themed attraction and as a child who grew up loving Harry Potter, I really want to go and experience the real life world of wizards and witches that Disney has created.

2. Honolulu, Hawaii
Having met many people from my college that are from Hawaii, everything that I have heard about it really makes me want to visit! The activities surrounding the beaches are incomparable, such as parasailing, snorkeling, surfing, and so much more! Not only that, just being able to lie and tan on one of Hawaii’s amazing beaches is something that I would love to do! It just seems like paradise and I will definitely travel to Hawaii one day for a vacation of rest and relaxation.

3. New York City, New York
From movies to TV shows to award shows, New York City has always been a place that I have only seen on the screen, but never in person. The bright lights, the ball dropping on New Years, the bustling and massive amounts of people is just something that I wish to experience. That is why New York City is one of the places I hope to travel to, particularly on New Years Eve. I always watch the ball drop in New York City on New Years Eve and it seems like such an exciting place to be that I want to experience it for myself someday.

4. Twin Cities, Minnesota
I debated on applying to colleges in Minnesota just because it’s somewhere so far and different from Seattle. Even though I ended up not applying, all the research that I did has made me want to visit Minnesota just to see what life is like over there. I particularly am interested in their love of hockey culture, something that is non existent in Seattle. I also want to go to the Mall of America to experience their indoor theme park and then shop until I drop!

5. Anchorage, Alaska
I am a great lover of wild animals and I think it would be the coolest thing ever to see polar bears, moose, and foxes in real life without a window or cage separating us. But, the biggest reason why I want to visit Alaska is to see the Northern Lights. I’ve always seen it in pictures and movies but it would be a dream come true to be able to see it in person, it is just such a magical thing.
